Curse You UPS!!!

Gahhhhh!!!!!!

I was one of the unfortunates to have their Xbox 360 get the E74 error message a while ago. Actually, it was two months ago, and I sent in my Xbox to get fixed exactly one month ago. And on the Xbox 360 support page, it claims that it will only take them 2-3 weeks to have your Xbox fixed and sent back to you. Well.... I'M STILL WAITING!!!!!

Luckily, they have a nifty little thing on their support page that allows you to track your shipment, and I can see that my Xbox will arrive at my home on June 2nd. This is unfortunate because I have just been absolutely dying to play Mass Effect 2. I was a huge fan of the first game, and every single day I have to look at that shiny unwrapped game is a day of pain and frustration for me.

I will give some props to Microsoft for knowing when they messed up. The E74 error message is caused by a malfunction in the hardware of the Xbox. I'm not exactly sure all the technicalities behind it, but it seems like a lot of people are having this problem. Microsoft lets you print out your own specific shipping label and this allows you to ship your Xbox back to them free of charge. Despite the fact that my Xbox is currently out of warranty (/facepalm), Microsoft is repairing my Xbox for free. I'm expecting a shiny fixed Xbox 360 Elite on June 2nd. And I'm counting the minutes exactly to the time the UPS truck usually goes by my house....

Boedangles' Ultimatum

I've reached a point with Boedangles where I have to make a decision as to what exactly his future will be. Right now he has a 5k gearscore when his PvE gear is on. He has pretty much all the triumph armor and a good deal of drops from the higher end heroics and lower end raids. His PvP armor is pretty weak. He has the whole Deadly Gladiator Regalia and some Wintergrasp epics, but overall, it's not that great.

I need to decide if I want to pursue Boedangles as a PvP mage or a PvE mage. He is dual specced as frost for PvP and arcane for PvE. He can get about 3.5k dps unbuffed on bosses and is hit capped for PvE. His PvP stats are a bit weaker.

You might be asking why I just don't do both, and I think eventually I will, but for the time being I want to pursue only one. By dividing and conquering one aspect at a time of my character, I can get things done much faster and more effeciently than if I just tried to get PvP and PvE gear at the same time.

Depending on how things go in my guild raid groups and how I see myself performing in Battlegrounds a decision will be reached. I'll be sure to let you know what my decision is and how I made it when the time comes. In the mean time, enjoy your virtual worlds. :)

World Explorer! Christopher Colombus ain't got nothing on me!

Well, it only took me 7 days and hours of searching WoWwiki to do it, but I finally accomplished my goal of world explorer. It was actually kind of an accident on how it happened. I was flying around in Northrend mining and I got the explorer achievement for that continent and the shiny epic tabard, too. When I looked through the rest of the areas, I realized I had about 75% of the total map already uncovered and that doing the rest wouldn't take that long.

Outlands went down really fast. The epic flying mount helped quite a bit, and it was interesting to look at it from the air. I spent most of my time on the ground as I was a very poor mage and flying was far outside of the realm of possibility for my pocketbook. Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms took a while, but they were finally conquered as well. I really liked being able to go back and look at the places that I leveled at and the landmarks that I remembered having epic battles at. Some of the not so good memories came back, too (looking at you Stranglethorn Vale).

Overall, I'm glad I did it. I got a shiny epic tabard to go on my character and an even shinier title to go along with it. Next up for Boedangles is the Loremaster achievement, I think. Loremaster would be a pretty cool title to have and you get a lot of gold/rep/achievement points to go with it. I could probably pick up some of the rep achievements along the way as well. Plotting out the future of Boedangles may be in my best interest at this point.

Welcome to the Boedyssey! This a blog where I will chart the adventures of my various characters, and maybe every once in a while post some thoughts I have on things in the MMO space and video games in general. I hope you enjoy what you read!
